The first day in Pathways School

     My first day in Pathways school was very interesting. I didn’t expect that the day would be so exciting. First when I entered the transport (bus), it was so cool because they had many little fans and an AC. I got to know the other students in the bus and they were very amusing and kind too.  When we came out of the bus the other people helped me find my way to the class room.

     The people, the teachers and the students were so kind and helpful. I even felt like I have been in Pathways for a long time. The buildings were so nice and the big green field too.  When I entered the classroom I felt very nervous to meet new classmates. But when I stepped inside, I saw all the welcoming faces and suddenly I felt better.  And the teachers were so kind.

    Right after that, we had a small break and then continued the lessons. At first I was confused because I had missed  school and joined late  but then I slowly understood. After the lessons we had to go to the assembly. I thought it would be some kind of presentation but instead some people came to explain about Janmashtami and we sang and danced. When the assembly ended we together went to the cafeteria.

      The cafeteria was very big and they had such tasty Indian food. Then we went back to the lessons. When the school ended I went to my bus and a lot of fun because I met the people again and they were so nice. And that was the end of my first day of school. looking forward to being in pathways , I already love it so much !

INSPIRED BY ANNA …..

Today, Anna Hazare is the face of India's fight against corruption, he is a social activist, who is self less lie fighting for the cause of the people.   He is a Gandhian and believes in non – violence.  The whole country has joined him to fight against corruption. People, the common man and well-known personalities alike, are supporting him in the thousands swelling to lakhs.

 Developing countries like India though have achieved democracy but are still fighting to imply them.  15 August was the day we got independent and 16 August was the day he got arrested. He didn’t do anything that was against the laws  .           
 SO WHY WAS HE ARRESTED? My patriotism for the country   increases   whenever I think about Aana Hazare. People are expressing   solidarity by organizing rallies in their colonies. I took part in one such rally which was held in my colony,  my friends and family and I participated enthusiastically; we just  loved the whole excitement and experience . I hope Anna is able to achieve what he set out to . I am a proud "ANNAITE" today.

FIRST DAY IN SCHOOL

As I walked down the pathway which led to my new school I wondered if my first day in school would lead up to my expectations. And fortunately it did.Teachers and students were strangers to me. When I entered the school I felt nervous. It was big building with a large compound wall . As I walked up to my class I was greeted by a number of teachers and I in turn greeted them. Since it was my first day, I was confused which hallway to use, but I managed to get to my class without asking anyone.The class was gloomy when I entered…there with me were the new students. Our form 8 teacher urged us to chat…but we stayed soundless. Everything changed when   previous years students  came up. They changed the atmosphere of the class. And made classes fun...all my nervousness and anxiety vanished and I knew I was going to be happy , being in the place I belong to! That was the reassuring thought at the  the end of my first day in my new school.
