Skellig
The book that I am going to talk about is called Skellig.  This book called Skellig written by David Almond is a fantasy book. It is about a boy called Michael shifting to a new house and while he was getting used to the new house his 3 days old sister was suffering with a sickness that would ,maybe kill her. I think this book is all about hope, because he also met a person in his garage whose name was Skellig and was also suffering. So Michael always believed this there were some similarities between her and Skellig. When his intelligent friend came to look at him they found out something very magical and spectacular about him.
in My opinion this book is very positive,as  it  inspires you with hope. If you, were to  read this book then you will understand what I mean,  and  why I say that this  book is so very exciting.  To tell the truth, I didn’t like to read books at all but when I finished reading this one , I knew that there would be more  books like this  one . And the more  I read the more I got into reading. I am recommending this book because this book is the best book I have ever read till now.

Pulse and I …

PULSE lessons help us in understanding few very important   facts of  life .PULSE stands for  Pathways to  Universal Life Skills Education . We have PULSE  because it keeps us strong and  ready to face  challenges in the long run in life .It teaches us not to bully ,or hurt some ones feelings, that there are things apart from luxury ,there are animals who are killed for  our pleasure. P.U.L.S.E helps us to realize the importance of these things which seem very small but in reality are very big. We throw food and there are people who are dying day and night for food .
We are shown powerpoint presentations during our sessions , which helps us understand  things better and bring to us a real picture  beyond the fairytale which we create for ourselves .
P.U.L.S.E helps us in coming out of our small worlds  and seeing the others' needs and problems. I feel  it makes us ready to face the world and to be a   better person .

What I like most about the school?

What I like most about the school is that our teachers are very helpful. Our school has good infrastructure. The students are friendly towards the young and old. Our school teaches us how to become independent , how to communicate clearly and effectively and most importantly how to become a good human being. Our school improves our language skills too.
What I  also really like  about my school is that there are 3 science labs and I love it when I get a chance to do an experiment .
I also like that we get choices to play a sport in our physical education periods. We get choices to play an instrument too in our music lesson.
So,overall it is a fun filled life at school and I really like that

My connection with Pathways

                                           Linking Winds
“Knock knock. Wake up Sohini!!!!” I heard my Mother knocking on my door trying to wake me up. “Yes mom I’m up, I said” I went outside and saw my mom’s and my sister’s luggage all packed up and ready to go! It was my mom’s flight back to India I remembered!!! “Oh no, you’re leaving today!!”
I screamed in front of my mom. I jumped and gave her a BIG hug. She told me to sit down on the table as she wanted to talk to me; I sat and started listening to her. “You are moving back to India three weeks from now” she said to me. I said nothing and just walked towards my room without saying a word, it felt like the world stopped moving around me; everything was left behind and I was walking all alone. It was the longest  walk from the dining room up the stairs to my bedroom.
I was sad and everyone understood and could see that and the worst part was that I had to leave in THREE WEEKS!!! Well , then came  the last day in the United States, I wanted to be alone at home. I was packed and ready to go, well not really ‘ready’ but I had to be. We were at the airport when everyone was quite and not saying a word.
I reached  India. Got my luggage and was ready to go home, everyone was quite in the car looking at me because they understood I was not ready to move or in the mood to talk.
Two months passed and yet I wasn't ready to do anything ....My mom wanted me to go to school now. Pathways Noida… There we go! Here comes a challenging time for me. All I knew was that Indian schools are very tough on students  and I won’t ever be   able  to catch up, but fortunately I was so wrong.
When we went to Pathways and the teachers told me how it went on there  and  I talked to all my teachers I was so happy and felt at home.
“Ring Ring...” my alarm rang in the morning and “knock knock” on the door my mom trying to wake me up. All ready for school my first day in the bus, I was a little scared but thought it would be fine. “Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii” screamed this girl in my ear as I was sitting like a typical new student all quite and looking out the window. “Hey?” I replied in a weird way as I didn’t know her yet. So we started to talk and she came sat next to me and she kept going on and talked so much that she even forgot to ask my name! well that I thought was nice , she totally made me feel at home and was so open with me.

That was the point I said to myself “it’s not that bad!” I was so happy. I liked  the school, and when I met my teacher downstairs ;she started talking to me  and I felt so special .The whole day passed and it was just “AH-MAZING!”. Came back home in the bus and just loved it! I’m the last to get off the bus  stop ,which is the best part because I get to see everybody and get to know them.  The days pass by with so many new things and we have  so much fun .
I love being in school and now look forward to it every day!

Grade 8

my link..... my experience !!

This will be a platform for students to express themselves outside a classroom situation. It will be an open session where we will attempt at getting to know how every one perceives and copes with their immediate environments. Led by students, other participants may feel more at ease in expressing themselves more frankly.

The fact that most of us are form different places around the world makes this assembly  on connections a unique one ,we are   very well connected  with  every one, but it could have used more activities.
The answers that we all spoke were  basically the same things,  we all sitting there agree with the guy who said less meat and MORE COWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,he said it because there was that stark difference from where we come .  and now in India we feel  like that , so maybe its right too.But the point is that someone in the crowd must have a different topic of what they felt about living in India. why does everyone only talk about that they don't like being here?

The only thing I have to say is that it doesn't matter that we like India or not, but hey I guess we are here because we are all Indians. That was the main reason we had that assembly on LINKING WINDS . and the truth is we are all together and we feel for India . For an example when you were in your old home that most of us had more Indian decoration in their houses, thus we could know a lot about India, but the people who don't have any decoration might not know anything about India. So we all look different but inside all of us we come from the same part of of the  world: India.
